So because Sadie is sometimes a diva, she’s decided to go into heat 6 weeks early! We’ll likely be breeding her in the next week or so once we’ve finalized a husband. We are taking litter applications for this litter that will be born Mid-December and can go home Mid-February. Please email us if you have questions.

CH LaTierra Rory O’Rourke finished his championship at the New River Valley Kennel Club Show on August 4th, 2013. Yea!
Sadie will be bred this November with puppies able to go home in March 2014. We are still taking applications for this litter. Lali will be bred next Spring with puppies able to go home during Summer 2014.
All 6 of Sadie’s Diamond Jubilee puppies have found homes. Green girl is now Sage, Purple boy is now Charlie, Blue boy is now Rory, Red Girl is now Sophie, Black (was gold) boy is now Jasper, and Pink girl is now Uta.
We will likely breed Sadie again in the Spring of 2013. She’s still searching for a new boyfriend.
Lali or Artisan’s Pink Lollapalooza will retire from showing and be bred in the Fall/Winter of 2013.

Update: Home found for Red Girl AKA Lady GahGah. Thanks for all the interest. We had some last minute shuffling of puppies and homes based on evaluations and gender preferences. Due to this, our red girl is still available. She is an energetic sweet female who could very likely finish her show championship. We think she’s a doll, but being the V that she is, is probably a bit too smart for her own good. She’ll need an experienced dog owner, particularly someone who wants to spend time training their dog. She is up to date on her vaccinations, has passed her vet checks, and has started potty training. If you plan to show her to prove breeding quality, she will come with full registration and co-ownership. If you plan on making her a companion animal, she will be placed on the standard limited registration (meaning you will not be able to show her, any breeding would violate the pet contract, and any puppies will not able to be pedigreed); In that case, you will agree to wait to spay her until approximately 18 months when the growth plates have fully developed. Last week was a big week for Sadie and Tosci’s puppies. They had conformation and temperament evaluations, had their first vet visit, and four puppies have already gone to their forever home.
This last weekend, Grandma Joan Topeke from Artisan’s Vizslas, owner of Ruby and breeder of Sadie, came to meet all the puppies. She had lots of treats and toys so everyone was happy to see her. We did some stacking and some temperament checks and everyone passed with flying colors! Joan has been immeasurably helpful in breeding this litter of gorgeous puppies.
On Tuesday, Pat Hastings, a professional puppy evaluator, came to look at the puppies and give us her opinion of their pet vs. show quality structure as well as another set of temperament testing. Wow, it was very interesting and we learned a lot from her years of experience. I don’t think we’ll look at dogs quite the same way again.
And Thursday, the puppies went to the vet and passed their health check with flying colors. They are completely healthy happy puppies. Oh, and they also got their first shots, which didn’t seem to phase them a bit.
